About AgeWise Calculator
A small set of free date tools, built to give exact calendar answers rather than quick approximations.

What AgeWise is
AgeWise Calculator is an independent utility website for everyday date questions: how old someone is today, how far apart two dates are, and how old someone will be on a particular day. Everything is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser.
The site is run independently by its owner, not by a hospital, government agency or professional association. There is no invented editorial team behind the answers. If you need to reach the person responsible for the site, use the contact address below.
Why it was created
Quick age answers are often slightly wrong: a birthday that has not happened yet, a February with 28 days, or a 365-day shortcut can shift the result by a day or a year. AgeWise was built to give a clear, checkable answer and to explain how it was reached.
How the calculations work
Each tool counts complete calendar years, then complete months, then remaining days, and separately counts the exact number of days between the dates. The full rules, including leap years and February 29, are listed in the calculation methodology.
The date calculations have been checked with ordinary birthdays as well as boundaries that are easy to get wrong: a birthday that has not yet occurred this year, the end of a month, a change of year, and February in both leap and non-leap years. Worked examples let you follow the counting yourself. These checks reduce mistakes but do not make the site an official source for legal age or eligibility decisions.
Why calendar accuracy matters
Many age tools divide a day count by 365 or 365.25. That is quick, but it drifts — leap years, 28-day Februaries and 31-day months all pull the answer away from the date people actually celebrate. AgeWise reads month lengths and leap years from the real calendar, borrows the correct number of days when a month has to be carried, and applies a documented rule for leap-day birthdays. Software can still contain mistakes, so we describe our method openly instead of claiming perfection.
The tools
- Age Calculator — exact years, months and days, plus totals in weeks, days, hours and minutes, your birthday countdown and milestone dates.
- Date Difference — the gap between any two dates, in calendar units and in plain day counts.
- Age on Date — how old a person was, or will be, on a chosen past or future date.
What we care about
Simplicity first: one clear input, an immediate answer, and no sign-up wall. Accessibility matters too — every field is labelled, the site is keyboard navigable, results are announced to screen readers, and nothing important is signalled by colour alone. Pages are kept light so the calculator responds instantly on a phone.
Why trust these tools
You can inspect the dates behind each answer and compare them with the written method. We explain the February 29 convention rather than silently choosing a birthday in non-leap years, and we distinguish a calendar-day span from an exact lifetime measured from a birth time. If a result matters for a contract or official form, check the applicable rules with the organisation involved.
Your dates and privacy
The dates you enter stay in your browser while you use a calculator; they are not saved to an account or sent to us for calculation. The site may use advertising services and stores a cookie choice in your browser. Our Privacy Policy explains those separate activities in more detail. You do not need to share a birth date when sending feedback; a pair of example dates is enough to describe a calculation issue.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use and may be supported by advertising. Ad areas are kept separate from calculator controls, results and navigation so they do not interfere with using the tools.
Feedback
If a result looks wrong, we want to hear about it. Email apextrack0@gmail.com or use the contact page, and include the dates you entered along with the answer you expected.
