Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how AgeWise Calculator uses cookies and similar technologies, which third parties may set them, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They let a site remember information between page views or visits, such as a preference you have chosen. Similar technologies include local storage, which keeps data in your browser without sending it with every request, and small pieces of code or images used by advertising services to measure whether an ad was shown.

What AgeWise itself stores

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Dates you type are not sent to us and are not saved in cookies. The only item AgeWise stores itself is your answer to the cookie banner, kept in your browser’s local storage under the name “agewise-cookie-consent”, so the banner does not keep reappearing. It holds only your choice and the date you made it. We do not run a separate analytics service.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

The site may show advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, detect fraud, and — where permitted — personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Examples include cookies set on Google domains such as doubleclick.net. These cookies are controlled by Google, not by AgeWise; Google explains its practices on its page about how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Your choices on this site

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose “Accept” or “Reject non-essential”. To change your answer later, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

How to control or disable cookies

  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies, either for all sites or for specific ones, and to block third-party cookies. Look under Privacy or Site settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Blocking all cookies may stop some websites from working properly.
  • Google’s ad settings. You can turn off personalised ads from Google at adssettings.google.com. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
  • Industry opt-out. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies at aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you are in Europe.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies used on this site change — for example, if a new service is added — we will update this page and the date at the top.
